Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common, debilitating and costly condition. In the wilaya of Algiers [1] its prevalence was estimated at 4.9% in patients over 40 years old, no prevalence study has been done in Oran. Our main objective was to detect COPD early in general practice at EPSP (The local public health establishments) of Oran in order to estimate its prevalence.
